What to expect:

Preliminary auditions are held for two days and are open to all Harvard students. We encourage people of all identities to audition. The audition lasts about 5 minutes, and will consist of a range test, pitch-matching exercises, and an optional sight-reading exercise. Auditionees should prepare a brief solo consisting of a verse and chorus from a song of their choice… anything you love to sing!

Following preliminary auditions, the Pitches select a number of auditionees for the callbacks stage of auditions. Three rounds of callbacks are held in the 3-4 days following preliminary auditions. During callbacks, auditionees learn and perform excerpts from the Pitches’ repertoire, and also get to know the current Pitches.

The morning after the final night of callbacks, the Pitches welcome their newest group of “babies!”

If you have any questions or feedback about auditions, please reach out to our president Andreea Haidau, at contact@pitches.org. We’d love to hear from you!
